Got a Personify Letter? What the Mail Offer Really Means
A pre-qualified offer with a code arrived in your mailbox. Here is how to read it line by line, how to tell if it is genuine, and how to respond without risk.

We are not Personify and cannot accept offer codes. Enter your code only at personify.com, Personify's official website.
How to read the letter
An illustration of a typical pre-qualified loan mailer. Yours will look different, but the same six parts will be there.
You're pre-qualified
for a personal loan of up to $X,XXX
Offer code ABCD-1234-EFGH
Respond by MM / DD / YYYY
APR from 36.00% to 179.50%. Terms of 12 to 48 months…
This “prescreened” offer is based on information in your credit report… You can choose to stop receiving…
- “Pre-qualified”Your credit file passed a first filter. It is an invitation to apply, not an approval.
- “Up to” an amountThe ceiling, not a promise. The amount you are actually offered is set after you apply.
- Offer or reservation codeLinks the letter to you on the lender's website. Treat it like an account number.
- Respond-by dateThe offer expires. After that date the code will usually stop working.
- The APR rangeThe most important line, often in the smallest print. Personify's range runs from 36.00% to 179.50%.
- Prescreen and opt-out noticeRequired by law. It tells you how to stop offers like this one.
Real offer or scam?
The web address
A genuine letter sends you to personify.com (older mail may show personifyfinancial.com). Type the address yourself if you are unsure.
No upfront fees
A legitimate lender never asks for a fee, a gift card or a “deposit” before releasing a loan.
The opt-out notice
Real prescreened offers must carry it. A letter without one deserves suspicion.
No pressure
A respond-by date is normal. Threats, or demands to act today, are not.
How they reach you
Be careful with unexpected calls or texts that mention your “offer”. Call the number on the official website instead.
What they ask for
Bank login details belong only inside the lender's secure application, never in an email or over the phone.
Compare first, then decide
The letter reached you because your credit file matched a filter, not because this is your best option. A mailer is marketing.
- Checking your offers at Personify uses a soft pull, so looking is free
- Check one or two lenders that cap APR at 35.99% as well
- Compare the total repaid, not the monthly payment
- If you need less than the letter suggests, borrow less

Stop prescreened loan offers
Lenders buy lists of people whose credit files match their criteria. You can take yourself off those lists for five years or for good. It does not affect your credit score or your ability to apply for credit.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Personify mail offer real?
Personify Financial does send pre-qualified loan offers by mail, so a letter can be genuine. Check that it sends you to Personify's official website, personify.com, and never asks for an upfront fee.
Does pre-qualified mean I am approved?
No. It means your credit file met the lender's starting criteria. You still have to apply, and the lender verifies your identity, income and bank account before it decides.
Where do I enter my Personify offer code?
Only on Personify's official website, personify.com. We are not Personify and cannot accept or look up offer codes. Be wary of any other site that asks for one.
How do I stop loan offers in the mail?
Visit optoutprescreen.com or call 1-888-567-8688. This is the official service of the credit bureaus. You can opt out for five years or permanently.
